There are 21 ARTCCs located throughout the United States, and they are responsible for managing the flow of air traffic within their respective regions.

  • North Warning System (NWS): This is a radar system that is operated by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and is used to detect and track aircraft and missiles in the Arctic region. The NWS consists of a network of radar stations located in Canada and the United States, and it is used to defend against potential threats to North America.

  • BMEWS: This stands for Ballistic Missile Early Warning System, and it is a radar system that is used to detect and track incoming missiles. The BMEWS consists of a network of radar stations located around the world, and it is used to provide early warning of missile attacks in order to allow for an appropriate response.

  • Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN): This is a radar system that is operated by the Australian Defense Force, and it is used to monitor air and sea traffic in the northern and western regions of Australia. The JORN consists of a network of radar stations that use advanced technology to detect and track a wide range of objects, including aircraft, ships, and missiles.
